Crystals and natural minerals are beautiful treasures, and a little care can help keep them looking their best for years to come.

Keep Them Clean

For most crystals, gently dust with a soft, dry cloth. If you use water, make sure the mineral is water-safe first. Some minerals can be damaged by moisture.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Avoid household cleaners, chemicals, and abrasive materials. They can damage a mineral’s surface, polish, or natural finish.

Protect From Sunlight

Some crystals and minerals may fade or change color with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. When in doubt, display your treasures away from strong, direct sunlight.

Handle With Care

Many crystals, geodes, carvings, and natural specimens can be fragile. Handle larger or delicate pieces carefully and display them on a stable surface.
